Together with our international customers, we develop pioneering and tailor-made textile solutions, Made in Austria. We are a leading specialist in high-quality knitwear made of natural fibres and cellulose chemical fibres, and stand for sustainability in all areas of our fully integrated production and contract processing.

How are we so innovative? Because we believe in technological advantage through pioneering developments while always putting people and the environment at the forefront. History

1908 Josef Huber takes over the bodywear company “Tricotwaaren-Fabric”

1915 Production of paper fabric as a replacement for cotton during the First World War

1930 Founding of the first branch in the Viennese textile district

1945 New beginning and reconstruction following the Second World War

1951 Already 620 employees, thanks to successful expansion of the fashion business

1961 Production plants are built in Lower Austria and the first “Konsumladen” is opened

1967 After three years of construction, the fully-integrated production plant in Mäder (Vorarlberg) is opened on an area of 4,000 m²

1975 Huber continuously invests in the machine park and is one of the most modern production companies in Central Europe

1980 Every day, up to 20 tons of fabric are produced and 65,000 garments are cut. The company employs 2,500 people

1984 Founding of the international brand, Skiny

1991 Internationalisation and acquisition of HANRO, the Swiss clothing label that is steeped in tradition

2008 HUBER celebrates its 100-year anniversary. The family-owned business has become an internationally successful clothing group

2011 Materials production runs under the new name Arula GmbH

2015 The HOM brand is purchased and expands the brand world of the HUBER Group
